Do you want to be ahead of phoitovoltaics? Find the agenda for our workshop!
March 6, 2026As Europe seeks to secure its clean energy supply while strengthening domestic manufacturing, the SOLARIS project is hosting a key industrial and policy event on October 6th at the facilities of IDENER.AI in Seville, Spain.
Titled the SOLARIS – PV Sustainability Workshop, the event expands beyond environmental impact to address the critical economic, regulatory, and industrial challenges facing the European photovoltaic (PV) market.
Bridging Policy, Manufacturing, and Market Realities
Organized by leading European research organizations—including Fraunhofer ISE, SINTEF, IDENER.AI, CEA, ODTÜ GÜNAM, and CSEM—the session brings together policymakers, research pioneers, and commercial stakeholders across the entire PV value chain.
The workshop offers a direct platform for industry leaders to align strategies on emerging European regulatory frameworks, supply chain bottlenecks, component reliability, and end-of-life economics.
Key Sessions & Agenda Breakdown
The single-day program is structured into four targeted panels addressing the entire lifecycle and commercial landscape of solar technology:
- 11:00 – 11:15 | Welcoming & SOLARIS Project IntroductionProject background and context set by host IDENER.AI and Fraunhofer ISE.
- 11:15 – 12:00 | EU Regulatory FrameworkAn opening regulatory debate with policy perspective from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC).
- 12:00 – 13:00 | Sustainability & Resilience in the Photovoltaic Value ChainAn industrial deep-dive featuring module manufacturers, solar tracker developers, and Balance of System (BOS) providers analyzing European supply chain sovereignty and resilience.
- 13:00 – 14:00 | Networking Break
- 14:00 – 15:00 | End-of-Life, Circularity & MarketStrategic insights into recycling infrastructure, market dynamics, and regulatory compliance featuring regional and national industry bodies including UNEF, CTA, and Recyclia.
