Advancing solar circularity: SOLARIS workshop on PV sustainability set for April 22
February 3, 2026The agenda for the upcoming PV sustainability Workshop is now available. This international workshop will focus on sustainable solar PV, covering environmental performances, End-of-Life management and circular strategies across the PV value chain.
The morning session on environmental performances will feature talks on updates in the life-cycle analysis of photovoltaics in France, PV LCA traceability in the field and links between LCA and direct experimentation in thin-film PV environmental impact assessment.
After a break, the End-of-Life management will address EU-level perspectives on PV waste by 2050, as well as benefits from sanding processes for module treatment.
Following lunch, participants will be able to discuss PV sustainability, exploring sustainable solar modules and inverters, social life-cycle assessment of photovoltaics and the path towards a just PV future in Europe.
The workshop will close with a panel discussion on how to foster both innovation and sustainability practices throughout the value chain, bringing together representatives from key organizations active in solar energy and green transition.
The event will bring together experts from research, industry and policy to discuss how to reduce the environmental footprint of solar energy while increasing performance and reliability.
